The Tri-County Community Health Council, Inc., through
its center Tri-County Community Health Center, was
established in 1976 to serve the special population
created by the annual influx of migrant agricultural
workers into eastern NC. Since its founding, the
center has strived to provide care to this population
in a culturally competent, affordable, and dignified
manner recognizing the inherent worth of each individual.
The center has aspired to be a model for health
care professionals from various educational and
training entities. The center is governed by a local
volunteer Board of Directors representing the target
population of the center.
